Fighting for Higher Education in the early 1990's

Due to severe budget cuts in the state of California's university system, San Diego State suffered the loss of academic programs, faculty, and staff. The students wouldn't stand for it, however. Facing the reality of not only their personal lost opportunities for graduation, but the larger implications of reducing education access, they started a protest movement not seen on campus since the 60's. At SDSU, the protest group was known as the Vigil.
